COMPARISON OF LASER MONITOR
WITH LED MONITORS
Ducon LM3086EPA3 provides the highest Accuracy and Long-Term Reliability
Available for Opacity and Dust Measurements. An EPA-certified monitoring
system, the monitor is a lightweight, efficient solution for determining
opacity or dust concentration in stack gases. Proven in more than 500
installations worldwide, it advances the state of opacity monitoring with
higher levels of accuracy, flexible installation and reduced long-term
maintenance
It is based on a low-power laser with excellent beam
collimation and intensity that can sustain path lengths up to 300 feet in
many situations. It does not require factory calibration like
conventional opacity monitors In addition, the single-pass, dual-path
design reduces maintenance and quality assurance labor hours.

Simulated Zero
& Upscale Calibration System:
A proprietary, DopperTM, design steers laser beam alternatively through
effluent, calibration filters and optical reference fibre 40 times in
second.
Laser power reference, zero, upscale calibration, window dirt and
Effluent opacity updated every 25 millisecond. Zero, cal. and window data
stored & displayed automatically at Preset intervals or viewed on demand.
Process Interface:
Mechanical: 4”, 150# Flange
Stack pressure: +10” H20 max; Stack temperature: +1200°F max
Purge flow: 3-20 CFM; Path length: 1-200 ft
Purge switch and failsafe shutter built-in for the laser unit,
Optional for the receiver unit.
